Devin Olson
Devin brings a lifetime of passion, experience, and innovation to the cattle industry. Raised on the family farm, Olson Acres, in Geneseo, Illinois, Devin grew up immersed in agriculture. From a young age, he was active in 4-H, showing cattle and developing a deep love for livestock.
Devin pursued his passion academically, studying Animal Science at Black Hawk College. He furthered his education at Western Illinois University and Oklahoma State University, where he also gained hands-on experience working for Bryan McKay Cattle Company. Following college, Devin worked for Meier Show Cattle in Stonewall Texas. Thereafter, Devin returned to Olson Acres, where he farmed alongside his brothers.
In 2021, Devin made the pivotal decision to focus entirely on the cattle side of the operation, leveraging his extensive knowledge and skills to enhance Olson Show Cattle. He is renowned for his expertise in using advanced technologies, such as embryo transplant and artificial insemination, to produce outstanding show cattle. Devin’s commitment to excellence is evident in his meticulous breeding and mating decisions, aimed at producing calves that excel in the show ring.
Devin maintains his own herd of elite show cattle and collaborates with cooperator herds, where cooperators provide recip cattle for his embryo transplant program. He also utilizes cutting-edge bulls in his AI program to ensure the highest quality genetics.
Known for his exceptional abilities as a feeder, groomer, and mentor, Devin is fantastic at working with customers, families, and exhibitors. His dedication to mentoring the next generation of agriculturalists is unwavering, and he takes great pride in seeing his cattle and his clients succeed in the show ring.
Devin’s journey in agriculture is also deeply influenced by his father, Dean Olson, whose legacy of community involvement and passion for livestock continues to inspire Devin. Dean was a lifelong farmer and a significant figure in local agricultural organizations, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Megan Olson
Megan is a distinguished professional in the agriculture industry with a rich heritage in farming. Growing up on a grain and livestock farm in central Illinois, Megan's early exposure to agriculture through 4-H and FFA activities laid a strong foundation for her career. She pursued her passion academically by earning a degree in Agricultural Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In parallel, she interned with Monsanto, gaining diverse industry experience in corporate marketing and field sales.
Following her graduation, Megan began a successful career with AgReliant Genetics, where she spent over a decade. She excelled in various roles, including District Sales Manager and Sales Account Manager for LG Seeds, where she honed her skills in marketing, digital platform management, agronomy, and customer relations. Her role involved a dynamic range of responsibilities, from delivering seed and scouting fields to office work and digital platform development. Megan's dedication and versatility have been hallmarks of her career, contributing significantly to the success of her growers and her company.
Currently, Megan serves as a Field Sales Representative for Channel Seed at Bayer. In this role, she continues to demonstrate her expertise and commitment to agriculture, helping farmers succeed with the latest resources and tools. Her ability to manage multiple tasks and her passion for the industry make her a valuable asset to any agricultural team.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Megan is deeply involved in the Olson Show Cattle operation. Alongside Devin, she raises and sells show cattle across North America, participating in cattle shows and fostering strong relationships within the agricultural community. Megan's commitment to supporting the next generation of agriculturalists is evident in her active involvement in mentorship and industry events.
Megan is also a strong advocate for women in agriculture. Throughout her career, she has seen a growing number of women taking on roles in the industry, and she is passionate about encouraging more women to pursue their dreams in agriculture.
